EIN works closely with the California Air Resources Board (CARB), the California Energy Commission (CEC), State Legislative offices, the Clean Cars Environmental Coalition and industry leaders to ensure effective implementation of the key regulations and funding programs that address climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions from our transportation sector.
EIN continues to advocate for performance-based improvements in vehicle technology across all classes. Realizing that no single technology will be a silver bullet solution, EIN continues to push forward any and all policies that promote alternative vehicle technology and advanced emission standards.
We cannot achieve California’s aggressive climate policy goals without implementing a suite of alternative fuels in the transportation sector. Low carbon, renewable fuels will be necessary to complement a portfolio approach of new strategies.
Clean vehicles will not succeed in the marketplace without access to clean fueling infrastructure. Long-term policy commitments are necessary to help the emerging clean vehicle infrastructure develop.
VMT represents the number of miles driven by an individual, group, or society. Reducing VMT will be a critical component of any strategy to reduce emissions from transportation.
